The title of the concert is the first line of Alexandra Pakhmutova and Nikolai Dobronravov’s very popular song Nadezhda (Hope); this song masterpiece of the 1970s became one of the symbols of the epoch.
The concert focuses on lyrics and love songs. A few generations have already grown up with them. The soloists and instrumental band will perform variety hits of the 20th century such as Zakirov’s Uchquduq, Martynov’s Swan Fidelity, Pauls’ Yellow Leaves, Pakhmutova’s How Young We Were, Tukhmanov’s These Eyes Opposite to name a few.
The artistic director of the festival is the Novaya Opera’s director Dmitry Sibirtsev, a pianist and a winner of the Moscow City Literature and Arts Prize.
