On April 6, a concert of the Novaya Opera’s soloists will open the traditional Mussorgsky and Rimsky-Korsakov Russian Music Festival in Pskov.
The concert titled This music will last forever… will take place in the Great Concert Hall of the Pskov Region Philharmonic. Excerpts from operas and romances by Russian composers will be performed by Elena Terentieva, Olga Terentieva, Alexandra Saulskaya-Shulyatieva, Alexander Skvarko, Alexander Martynov, and Vitaly Efanov. The Mussorgsky and Rimsky-Korsakov Russian Music Festival is the only festival in Russia dedicated to the legacy of the 19th-century composers, whose destinies are inseparably associated with the Pskov land. The first festival was held in Pskov Region in March of 1974.
