Andrey Lazarev,

Choirmaster. Andrey Lazarev is a choirmaster of the Novaya Opera Theatre. He graduated from the Moscow State Conservatory in 1981. In 1980, he was appointed a choirmaster of the State Chamber Choir of the USSR Ministry for Cultural Affairs. In 1986–1993, Andrey was a choirmaster of the Russian State Symphonic Chapel and made numerous CD recordings jointly with the Chapel. Since 1995, he has been a conductor of the “Peresvet” Moscow Chamber Choir.
Andrey Lazarev joined the Novaya Opera in 2000. He has taken part in preparing the following productions: Rimsky-Korsakov’s The Snow Maiden and The Tsar’s Bride, Thomas’s Hamlet, Bellini’s Norma, “Bravissimo!”, Wagner’s Lohengrin, Bizet’s Les Pêcheurs de Perles, Puccini's Messa di Gloria.
