This original project of the Novaya Opera is dedicated to Maria Callas, the preeminent prima donna of the 20th century. Based on the diva’s opera repertoire, the production pays homage to her bewitching voice and exceptional acting ability. The performance presents arias and choral scenes from the operas by Rossini, Bellini, Donizetti, Verdi, and Puccini, in which La divina sang her acclaimed roles.
